They are both outside cats now they just couldn't adjust to living indoors after we got a dog. But they are really happy outdoors I find, they just hang around my house sometimes walk around the neighborhood etc.
So coincidentally, yesterday we look outside and we see one of our cats looking up a tree with a smallish hawk in it, looked like our cat wanted to climb the tree to kill the hawk. Then we turn and see our other cat and he's just killed a small bird and is staring at me with it in it's mouth. By the time we could grab the camera he let the bird out of his mouth and is kinda just staring at it waiting for it to die.
Then we go outside and the other cat who was hunting the hawk comes and picks up the dying bird and starts to walk off with it. The hawk swoops down (maybe to try and steal the bird) and the cat who killed the small bird leaps up in the air and swats at the hawk but misses.

Wish I had got a video of the cat leaping at the hawk it would have been sweet.
