This makes my pancakes and eggs with a can of peaches seem so quaint! But these weren't just ANY pancakes. When a couple of our pals went to Hawaii for two weeks (or was it a month?) they sent us back pancake mixes in fabulous Hawaiian flavors like Banana Coconut. They sent 3 packs in 3 different flavors, and we've burned through two of them so far. So good!

Perfect pool day, too! :-) It was 92 degrees F today, and since I'm from up in the mountains I find that positively sweltering for May. Early May, no less! So I went to the gym and went swimming. I was expecting a crowded pool with oodles and oodles of noisy children peeing in the pool because it was so darned hot. But when I got there, there were two other people, both adults, both blissfully minding their own businesses.

Swimming in peace and quiet, mmmmm!

Mothers Day is an exceptionally busy day for restaurants. SO the management team wants to maximize profits. By making an understaffed shift work harder for a longer period of time. Which was dropped on us as opposed to being put on our schedule last week like it should have.

And they've got me working 6 days a week for the next few weeks to help mitigate this. It's complete *** too. They shouldn't be letting people go on vacation when we're already missing half of our ideal staff numbers.

And they can't seem to figure out why their turn over rate is so high.

That sounds kinda awful. :-( We're taking one of our moms out to dinner for Mother's Day, but not until Memorial Day weekend sometime because that's when she'll be here. /comfort.

I like it personally.
For the most part up until now it's been more or less dead on from manga.
They move some volumes forward around ep 3-4. But its nothing that will break the story IMO.

So is there gonna be a "Battle of Trost (3)" then? :/ not gonna start watching these episodes on till that battle ends >_>
I already know what happens because the manga but I want to see it in the anime lol

I usually hate anime that start out like it did :/ but it seems interesting enough so I'm gonna keep watching it for awhile.

Yeah but the Mikasa kid scene in the recent episode just felt soooo slow, kinda like Naruto, Bleach or One Piece episodes that are close to where the manga is/was lol


Or DBZ power-up episodes

From what I've seen by reading about half the manga is the slow start in the first few episodes powers you through a slower part of the manga now rather than midway through the season. I appreciate that TBH.
