Mog is fine in the JP clips, but once the english voice comes on I just want to shut the game off honestly.
Then when I get into a boss battle... I load up different music so I don't have some guy screaming in my ear.
No idea why they thought this would be good FF music. They should've just reused the original games Soundtrack

It's kind of a weird anomaly. In the world of movies, for the most part sequels are crap. If you want to argue that point, talk to Police Academy 18329872098745. However, when it comes to games, it seems like the opposite happens for most of the time. Of course there are some exceptions to the rule (Star Wars: The Force Unleased II), but the proof is in the pudding...
That being said, I feel when Square Enix does a direct sequel to one of their new Final Fantasy games, they usually sorta suck. I know some people enjoyed FFX-2, but the majority of people hated it, myself included.
