I have a cockatiel I took over from some girl because she didn't want to take care of him anymore. His name is Cheeky but I've recently been thinking of calling him something cooler.

That was my brothers stance when he released the canary my grandfather got for my mum before he died.

Very true. My birds used to talk and give kisses and whistle tunes, but I had them out all the time and was always working with them.
