So I read on the infallible interwebs that if you rub dogs' ears, it releases endorphins and makes them happy. See here:
Well, I usually rub behind their ears, not the ears themselves. I look inside their ears every couple weeks to make sure there are no bugs, but I've never considered rubbing them. So tonight after reading that, I gathered up my pooches and rubbed their ears.
No endorphin activity was noted, however, my dogs are now really confused as to what the heck I was doing. I'm pretty sure they gave each other this look as soon as I turned my back.
