Nah doesn't matter what you post like most communities they shun new people and only talk to well established people.

They will shun whoever posts stupid stuff or whoever appears stupid enough to be easily shunned.

For having read and participated on BG at various points in the past 6 years, in many parts of their forums and joining new groups everytime, I can tell you that if you are on-topic and your posts have proper content, you will have absolutely no issue fitting in and enjoying the people there.

Just need a backbone.

Do you guys remember a week or two ago I was moaning and whining because my stepmom got on Facebook and I was worried that she'd get in a catfight with my real mom because the two of them can't be in the same STATE together, let alone on the same facebook page? xD

Well. My dad called me today and apparently my stepmom found a picture of me, my sister, and my biological mom sharing a hug and just quit facebook. Just deleted her account and left. This was the picture she found:



She hasn't said anything to me since then. On one hand, it's irritating when adults act like children who can't get along. Their spat was over twenty years ago. Time to get over it! But on the other hand, the decision to just leave FB altogether was probably the best and easiest route she could have chosen. It's a relief and I'm happy!

This so damn much. My dad hates my mom so much that just mentioning her name gets him all riled up. I had to appeal to him just for him to act cordial when she comes down for my graduation in May. It happened years ago; it's time to move on.
