They all are, can still enjoy different ones for different reasons.

They do die in the manga, pretty sure

And the original Digimon movie has Greymon stabbing it's horn through Parrotmon's beak after blasting off one of it's wings. While other materials still have Digimon killing each other, I don't remember any fights being quite as brutal as that one. Yeah, I seemed to recall a harsher side of Pokemon at some point, but I figured they'd just water it down for kids in the States.

Well yeah. That's like Masters of the Universe was originally designed, if I recall correctly, as a line of toys to accompany the Conan movie(s). However, it was decided Conan was too violent for children, so they painted them up in some brighter colors and made the cartoon to go with the toys.

I don't recommend shouting as a thief, as the guards will be alerted of your presence, and will try to arrest you or kill you.
You also don't want to alert your mark and make things troublesome.
