Will require you to run basically all of the high-end dungeons past (and including) Dzemael Darkhold, for a "slight chance" at some items you need to complete each of the quests..

These dungeons are (I believe these are in order..):

Dzemael Darkhold, Brayflox (Hard), Halatali (Hard), Snowcloak, Aurum Vale, Haukke Manor (Hard), Lost City of Amdapor, Sastasha (Hard), Wanderer's Palace, Copperbell Mines (Hard), Hullbreaker Isle, Sunken Temple of Qarn (Hard), Amdapor Keep, Pharos Sirius, Tam-Tara Deepcroft (Hard), and finally Stone Vigil (Hard)

These are not guaranteed drops. I quote

※By completing a dungeon, there is a small chance that you will obtain the associated item."

Oh, and there's something about desynthesizing "aged goods sold at "the Silver Bazaar" too..

※Certain ingredients required to craft these items can be obtained by desynthesizing aged goods sold at the Silver Bazaar."

EDIT: To add further: The first quest tells you that Gerolt needs you to talk to 4 different people, which lead to the 4 next quests. Each of those people wants you to do a couple different tasks for them in order to give up the item that Gerolt wants from them, which requires you to run a couple different dungeons. The final quest is going to the Goblin in Central Thanalan to let him do his Materia magic and do something with Materia to the weapon to complete it. The new quests are the same for everybody, it will NOT be different depending on which relic you have equipped. Everybody is going to have to do the same dungeons, which means that the first two (Dzemael and Brayflox) are going to be swamped...
