A few months ago, Square Enix announced that copies of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will come with a demo for Final Fantasy XV. Today, they're backtracking a bit: turns out only some copies will actually come with the demo—the copies that are part of the first shipment.

So if you buy a later copy of Type-0 HD—which comes out in March for PS4 and Xbox One—you might not actually get access to the demo for the much-anticipated fifteenth Final Fantasy.

Says Square Enix in a blog post tonight:

First, as Tabata-san said in a recent episode of Square Enix Presents, this demo is exclusive to Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. We're never going to release it as a stand-alone piece down the line. Secondly, it's intended to be a special gift for those of you who purchase early — the demo will be limited to the "Day One" edition of the game, meaning that only the first shipment is going to have the demo in it. So if the demo is something you think you might like, we highly encourage you to pre-order or to be quick about getting to the store on launch day, March 17th, 2015.

Thing I learned today:

Pressing Shift + Esc in Chrome brings up the task manager, and I can find out which tab is slowing me down :< THEN DESTROY IT D;! I've known about it's own task manager since I started using it years ago but I never really bothered since it's behind a few menus to click on it.

They're doing very.... peculiar things currently. I think the demo thing might be more out of their control or cost them too much to pull string to get more demos out in time. Or maybe something is wrong with the current version of the demo and they aren't able to use it? So many thing that can just be 'weird' there.

The VII PC port to PS4.... I have no idea what in the *** that is about. Pretty much assures me that it means we'll never have a real HD remake of it.

Pre-ordered the CE. That 80 page artbook... and everything else.

SE may pull some ***, but they put together amazing Collectors Editions.

Na, it's gone. Sorta.

Honestly though, the cleaning here I will complain about because there's stuff behind the nightstand, was an empty bottle and I see a piece of silverware. Kinda worried about the rest of the cleaning job then if they don't check behind stuff. Oh well, work paid for it and it's a half decent place.
