I don't have a steam account neither. I specifically don't wish for a third party video game program to play my PC games through to begin with.
There's no such thing a perfect digital distributor, but going without one, completely DRM free is nigh impossible. Besides, Steam for the most part (especially with Steam enhancer plugin) will warn you if there's any additional DRM ties to a purchasable game. For all it's faults, I'm willing to board the Steam train considering the extensive variety and prices.
