When I saw that zone I thought to myself "I totally see them making some sort of 'limbus like' game mechanic here..."

It certainly look a lot like a perfect place for a "skirmish"-ish thing. :P

it made me think of sky actually more than anything, with the pixels flying slowly upwards= the random gravity and the telepads around the zone. Sky deep within the earth ftw

or that land in legend of dragoon.

Makes me think of Orphan's Cradle.
Though everything goes inwards, not up.

no clue where to find one ;/
3 star village quest "Shipshape Skin" is the earliest I can see on my list. Need it for the main story, so just keep doing that until you hit it. ^^
