Playing DBX did the tournament parallel quest as SS4 Vegeta and my team mates as SS4 Vegetas... that was fun lol

hopefully this works out well for you.
I'm staying optimistic. They did say that they were going to have to let some teachers go due to the fact that they're losing students and don't need as many next year, so maybe they're doing me a favor and sparing me my job. That's the hope, anyway.

I'm going to ignore the voice inside my head telling me that they're just trying to pawn me off to the next school so they don't have to deal with me, anymore.

There is a bit of story but it's usually incredibly fast paced and doesn't last you long.
Saying this after still not finishing the storyline while having nearly 50 hours into the game is kinda funny.

Sadly in order to truly finish unlocking the Caravan Quests (Single Player) you need to get HR 8+ in the Gathering Hall (Where the multiplayer quests are.) You can go into them solo with your 2 NPC cats though but they have more HP then the Caravan (Single player) quests.

I'm at 86:55 time played with HR 3 and only 8 more offline quests currently available more will probably unlock as I finish them as well. There are 20+ more quests that unlock in the Caravan after you hit HR 8+.
Maybe 3-4hrs of that was spent on actual questing for progression rather than farming materials to get ready for online play since it's my main focus. On top of that the original story (Gore/Shagaru) was incredibly rushed and had little to it, if this acts anything like other MH games the following high rank caravan story will feel the same way.
