Random Thoughts.....What are you thinking?

I would be moving away from the city.
I mean, have you *seen* the places in Canada outside of major cities? Unless you have the same, or similar means of owning a small island, staring at flatlands of wheat and cow stank isn't relaxing.

I just don't want to live in the middle of buttfuck nowhere in Canada.
I would still retain all my Canadian identification, and a residency.
My primary reason for wanting to own an island is to have that special awesome getaway when I need it.
But seriously, it's really resource taxing to own a place in the boonies here. Hell, even just outside of town is bad enough. Finding a place that isn't already being used as farmland can be torturous for those seeking to move outside of big cities. And most people who do, end up spending roughly the same amount just for the same or more than 2.5mil just for the same comforts.
That's just assuming you find an old dilapidated place to fix up, if you're handy enough to do it yourself.

There will be banana trees planeted everywhere.

I've been to Thompson Manitoba.
But that was when it was still considered the boonies. Which is odd, because even the biggest city, Winnipeg, felt like it was the sticks.
Also, born and raised in Manitoba.

There will be banana trees planeted everywhere. What about coconut trees?
Make my own rum.

Last time I went back to visit Brandon, it was being marketed as the "Canadian version of Florida", as a place of retirement.
And it has grown exponentially since I lived there.

Banana trees do add a certain delicious Feng Shui (sp)

Seriously, as I was coming into Brandon last year, there were advertisements saying "Brandon: A great place to retire"

Peaches come, from a can,
They were put there by a man,
In a factory downtown. Everything's better when you go...

The only time I've ever been to Manitoba, just drove right through it lol
Though the only places I've not been to in Canada include Newfoundland, BC, and the territories. Grandmother used to drive transport so I'd gone with her on a couple over trips the summers years ago. Been as far south as Texas. :3

I mean, the "Keystone City" in Brandon was an ok attraction for a little bit, then it just got cruddier every year.

I know they're back, Nerddork.
Hasn't been the same since they were originally sold, and they've had one hell of a time getting back to the status they once held.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
