Had my first (of several to come) civil service/fire tests this morning. Didn't do great, but didn't do bad either.
That test was kinda rough though, I don't think anyone completely rocked it though. I made a 77, highest I know about was an 87 (that was with +5 military points). I was one of the first ones finished and then we went straight to the physical, so I don't know how a handful did that took their time.
We were given a packet at the start of the test and had 20 minutes to read through and memorize as much as we could, then 40 out of 100 questions of the test were over that packet. Then the rest of the questions were logic based reasoning skill stuff with a few personality questions as well.
Physical ability test whooped my ***, but I passed it at least with 10 seconds to spare (5:50/6:00). Watched a couple of guys before me time out, then the guy that went right before me (he was in my medic class lol) rocked that ***with like 45 seconds left.
Rankings are supposed to be up on the website by 5 PM tonight so I'll know exactly where I stand (gonna guess somewhere in the middle). They are only hiring one for sure right now, but supposedly going to hang on to the eligibility list since a few people may retire/leave the station soon.
Got work tonight 1900 to 0700 and then another "pre" physical ability test at 0800 tomorrow morning. It's for a non-civil service city so it looks better to show up and be proactive about anything they offer to help. Two more actual tests next week starting Tuesday.
