I was wondering about salaries.
Here I earn around $3000/month (probably $18/hour) before taxes/contributions. What are kind of jobs that can earn that in US?
I make $18/hour right now, healthcare desktop support. If I could get to be a permanent employee it'd probably get a good increase. Which I could use, as my cost of living is too damn high.

I won't speak to my own salary because I generally consider discussing personal finances directly distasteful (no offense to anyone who does it, I'm fine if other people want to do it, I just don't like to).
That said, USD $18/hr you're talking, generally, higher-end high school diploma territory or low entry-level college degree/trade school work. Foot-in-the-door positions for people with degrees/training in standard fields (specialized construction trades, teachers, etc.) At least in my area.
My information is a few years out of date (2009) but that's approximately what Walmart's entry level salaried managers make (USD $36,000/yr), though they work approximately 50 hours a week for that.
What level of education/training do you have in what fields?
Gas is dropping to record lows in my area, but the price of everything keeps increasing anyways.
The price of domestic products are (in theory) supposed to drop, or stop increasing as the price of gas/oil goes down, since it saves on production and travel expenses.
Nope. Prices of everything else are going up faster now that gas is less than 70cents a liter, than it was as 1.30 a liter.

Because once producers raise prices, they don't go back down again. They just sit on the additional profits for the prices people are now already conditioned to pay.
I've always benchmarked this by eyeballing the cost of pop (soda, whatever) and Doritos, actually. Even though I've stopped buying them myself, I still keep an eye on them out of curiosity. And it's interesting to note they've kept climbing with gas going down, though there may be other factors involved (costs of/involving corn, specifically, given corn syrup and corn chips).
Still, it's a good benchmark and example of the way prices go up with gas but don't go back down after.
So apparently there was a livestream last night showing off the Nnoitra and Nel getting added to Brave Souls.
Logged in today and got 5 spirit orbs as a "KLab Games Broadcast Special Bonus".
Also, Shinji's Theatre has officially started; time to get farming dat Lisa.
Info from the reddit:
Quote:
On Normal you're dealing with lvl 3 hollows, with Lisa (???) as the level boss
On Hard you're seeing lvl 20 hollows, with Bankai Ichigo (Red) as the level boss
On Very Hard you're seeing lvl 35 hollows, with Hiyori (Green) as the level boss
For 'Hard' and 'Very Hard', you're seeing all the different types of hollows. Each mob is a mix of black skinned hollows and variant skin hollows. You've got some purples, some browns, etc. Hollows common to Part 4 in story mode
As far as types go, you're getting a mix of everything, so adjust your team accordingly
On 'Very Hard' you're gonna be pressed for time to finish if your team isn't sufficiently leveled. This is mostly due to the fact that the level itself is 4 or 5 stages not including the boss stage. I took a lvl 70 Grimmjow, a lvl 60 Shinji, and a lvl 60 Genryusai, all 5*'s and in three tries haven't broken the 3-minute wall. My closest was 3:01
As far as drops go, you're picking up a lot of crystals, so this is also a great farming opportunity. In 5 runs, I got one each of 3* Shinji, 3* ichigo, and 4* Lisa. They all came from 'Very Hard' runs, and Hiyori dropped the 4* Lisa
As compensation for completing each level for the first time, you get a regular summons ticket. Sorry, no premium for 'Very Hard' this time.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
