Yea, I'm a singer. Haven't done anything lately so my vocal instructor up here is harping on me, as is my mom and everyone that sees me that knows me.

Sing for Me is ok, but it's a bit melodramatic. >.> She has better solo stuff. I Feel Immortal is nicer, I think. But I couldn't harp on you with I Feel Immortal! ~.^

In some context it can be.
Metal is simply too vague to have it simply apply or not apply to something as dark and heavy as Tool.

i know what pre 2001 tool sounded like i actually used to listen to them along with deftones, nin, mudvayne etc back in middle school

Just like I wouldn't call Deftones Metal these days, but they certainly fit the genre back in 1995.

Gotta evolve. Can't just be the same angry person to make random folks happy. You do what you do for the sake of progression and expression as a human being. If that doesn't change then there would be nothing left for the listener nor performer.
