i watched some parts of that video. looks like just a death match fps. i wish i had more time to play games. maybe then this would seem more appealing? i still want to do gta v online, but no one i know has any interest.
You have some objectives like holding a control point (both teams attack the same point to take control), holding a point and then having to escort a payload (one team is on defend and the other attack), taking 2 points to win (defend and attack here too)
There's also a skirmish mode which is just a death match for 30 minutes (in a custom game) or until a new player joins
It's not a normal FPS because each hero has unique skills and their weapons work differently (even if it is point and shoot)
For example Junkrat shoots bombs but they don't explode right away, they bounce a bit and then explode (unless they hit a player or turret). He also has a mine he can throw out to either explode and jump with (like a rocket jump) or explode in someone's face. His third is a bear trap that you can also put your mine in so if someone gets trapped you can explode it to kill them (unless it's a tanky character). His Ultimate is a rip-tire that you can climb up walls with or just zoom around the map with (for a certain amount of time) and then explode when you want. It has quite a large aoe and usually kills any character next to it
Symmetra can build 6 sentry turrets that she can put on walls/ground/ceiling that shoot a beam at anyone close and her main weapon is a an energy beam that locks onto a target as long as they're close enough. This also means it has a short range. Her Ultimate puts a teleporter up so you can get back to the objective quickly.
