Sometimes I question why I even own a laptop. If I leave my room it's no different than going to China, the wifi signal just doesn't get out of my room as if the walls were made of Idk whatever it is that reflects wifi waves!

And I enjoyed being purple. But not contributing in any way kinda made me feel like I didn't deserve it, along with a few other things.

If I could find a way to be useful again I think I'd love to take a bar back but as of now I can't think of anything.

(I realize the absurdity of inquiring before I do) are you using a 5ghz band over a 2.4? If so just try using a 2.4, it propagates in buildings better.

It's probably metal, lead paint?

I can't play wireless on my playstation because of a concrete wall near where the fiber is installed lol, it just dc's me a lot

I'd have to run another long cable just for that

I was more worried about under posting than anything. But if I remember correctly the over posting fear came more from something Scragg said to me when I was given the reigns.

Overall I think most of the issues came from myself thinking I wasn't doing enough while simultaneously being afraid of doing too much.

Lead paint, lead pipes, really old-school aluminum siding could do it also.

Eh, none of that should affect the signal so much inside the house, I mean if we're talking about wifi and not cell, the piping should be sparse enough to only absorb some.

Let me be frank; Scragg was sick with the flu when he flagged you and was kinda out of it due to medication. I wouldn't over post but I wouldn't get overly paranoid about it.

As far as I know it's only reinforced concrete walls. As for frequencies I have nfc.

Concrete walls usually have iron bars inside as reinforcement. Since the walls are earthed, that will work as a Faraday cage, shielding you out of the wifi signal. :\

Hmmm... The overtime does amount to like a second job most months... Maybe it's best to just wait for now.
If it's available, I'd go with the OT unless you need lot's of cash fast. You save the commute to a second job and you can adjust how much of it you do so you can catch a breath if you get tired. A second boss will require you work a certain minimum number of hours and won't let you take a few days off whenever you need it. This will save you from burning out and you'll make more cash in the long run.

You can also budget your current expenses a little better.

Is it "wireless N" or "wireless G" (technically N can be 2.4 as well or dual band), then there's AC which I believe (could be wrong as I'm going from memory) is only 5ghz. But yeah if it's reinforced concrete even on the inner walls you may just be boned, you could put in a switch and have an AP in each room, but you'd have to have it professionally done, or learn how to do it (it's not that hard).
