Anyway I think it was all speculation and there's no truth to the "secret leaks".

I am kinda eager for RDM.

DNC, I dunno, but I'd probably do it just to have all healers.

***, I'll have to get SCH/SMN and AST to 70 too. Then MCH and DRK.

Garuda EX works great too. Can kill her with 8 tanks in under 5min. Think it's more like 2-3min iirc. Haven't done it in a while.

I still need to get the PLD mount sometime.

I'm skeptical. I assumed RDM would be a fencing tank of sorts so if it isn't, I'd be excited.

The thing that gets me is.. SAM doesn't fit. Stormblood will be Ala Mhigo which isn't Japanese-ish. Doma is but the Domans came and brought NIN so either they will cheaply add SAM as "Oh, no, the Domans also had SAM, they just didn't show you or mention them before." or...I dunno.


All the HW jobs fit Ishgard; DRK were knights who turned away from the hierarchal church-affiliated knights of Ishgard in favor of vigilante justice. MCH were born from Ishgard's Dragonsong war and thus their need for anti-dragon weaponry like Bertha cannons, the had the idea to take handheld guns and empower them with aether. AST, as we play it, is a Sharlayan spin on the astrologians that have been employed in Ishgard forever. AST takes these star readers to the front lines using Sharlayan astrology to heal.

So, DNC? Could fit but it's a stretch. RDM? Same, fencing is more of a French-type thing but maybe, being a European art of sorts, it could fit. SAM doesn't really fit at all, considering how the Emperor looks, it seems like it'd be more of a pre-imperial Garlean art. Perhaps it is and perhaps you will encounter a group of traditional Garleans or something. They have a lot to do to make these jobs fit imo.

Castrum and Prae don't count... Any 8 man raid or ex primal does though, even if unsynced. So you can just spam T1 or anything similarly easy to solo.

i don't think you can duplicate the fun of dnc in ffxiv. the best thing im xi was how fast you could attack and the "phwaaampsh" everytime you proc'd haste/drain samba. ffxiv is all about abilities timings and aoe ddr dodging i don't feel like proper dnc can be done.

I loved DNC in XI.

My main beef is with DNC and SAM in that speculation.

SAM: The job makes sense but it doesn't, at all, fit the setting.

DNC: It could be explained and done in a way to fit the setting but the job makes absolutely no sense. When I think of DNC as a healer, I think of Penelo in Revenant Wings. The whip doesn't really fit.

I don't think SAM will be in Stormblood. I'm not entirely sure on DNC. The girl in the trailer is just a MNK. Mystic Knight wouldn't surprise me.

Thing to think about, is this; they said at one point there will be two jobs. Logically, these will be a tank and a healer as there are already so many DPS. RDM could be a healer easily for very obvious reasons. I could see the DNC stuff in that post transferred to RDM and it'd make sense. RDM could also be a fencing tank for reasons I'd blabbed about before.

People got RDM from the tried and true Yoshi's shirt hints. People got DNC from the MNK in the trailer. I have 100% no idea where people got SAM from.

People think sam because a huge % of the player base has raging *** for it the same way people wanted a thief/ninja type job.

I just really, really don't see it. Not it not happening, it could happen, but WHY people THINK it will happen. To me, the people spouting SAM are the same kind of people who spout off ***like "There's evidence in the Bible that suggests Jesus Christ had a wife and children. To find the evidence you have to turn to...this page and draw an isoceles triangle..." or the people who believe aliens visited ancient Egypt. It's...far-fetched to believe SAM is coming just because people want it to.

So, RDM is pretty much confirmed by the shirt, DNC came from speculation due to the trailer, and SAM came from "because we want it."
