You ever have a problem on your computer, and immediately try to go to the internet to fix the problem, only to remember you don't have internet access on it?
Used to happen most often when I would be trying to diagnose and fix internet related problems, but in the last few years when I've been trying to fix a computer it's usually only got the necessities hooked up (power, monitor, mouse, keyboard) because I'm almost never working on it in the spot it calls 'home' (i.e. take someone's computer home to fix it for them).
Doesn't really seem to matter how many times this happens to me, I don't seem to be able to learn from it <_<

I had that happen once when I got some silly malware. Just once though. The only other time I've had to look upon the internet(on another compy) to solve a computer related problem was when mine got infected with Trojan Bamital. ,_,; God I hate Trojan Bamital. I did forget for a bit that I had been infected by it, and that I couldn't run an internet browser of any type. I was in EXP party that was really flowing. Turned, went to go look up something, and Bamital ceased my browser function before it began. Q,Q
I think I'm just too used to internet access.. Unless somethings wrong I think of it like, light or something.. That it just comes, whether you want it to or not.
I've also noticed a similar problem with electricity.. I'm so used to it, that I just assume it's always there..
For an example, of something that always happens to me, hurricane comes through, knocks out power for weeks.. The entire time the power is off, I will still flip the lights on where I would when the power was on, but it was just dark (i.e. bathroom, kitchen, etc).. I mean the power is off for a couple of weeks, and even the day before it's back I'm still doing it -.-..
Really hoping today's work day is better than yesterday's. If a certain person continues to screw me over, I may quit being so nice and have to give her a piece of my mind.
I think I need opinions. Let's say you find out you have a debilitating disease. Now you work with customers and vendors. Is it really professional to talk to your customers and vendors about this disease in order to garner pity points? Is it professional to sit on the phone with your children during the work day? How do you feel about talking to everyone about your disease, which is obviously making it so you can't do your job to your fullest? Am I wrong in thinking that perhaps you can't handle the job you've been given (since you complain about how much work they give you on a daily basis)? You can't get your work done, you've been on a deadline for at least 6 months and you're just now getting started when the project needs to be finished within a week. Don't you think that filing for disability and letting someone who can accomplish the job take over might be a viable option at this point?
Sounds like they're just riding the gravy train on their disease of sorts. They're not looking for productivity or slack for their disability. From the sound of it they just want to be exempt or to be pitied and excused from their obligations. Indeed, the logical thing to do was keep it known to those who matter, ie: your employer and simply file for disability.
On that note, it seems I'm doomed to having 5 hour sleep periods regardless of when I fall asleep.

She just fishes for sympathy on a regular basis. Horrid way for a grown woman to act. I have a ton of stuff wrong with me, 3 disabling diseases, but only my supervisors know about them. They're the only ones who need to know.

I do the same thing. You get used to a certain sleep schedule and can't get out of it. I used to not even be able to sleep in on weekends. I programmed to be awake by 7am.
People hardly farm anymore thanks to curor NPC money right?
I am happy to see Unicorn join us, but I fear for my "farming" spots, as it's the only way I can really make gil right now.
Edit: Sure enough. Server merge + Magian trials = Sad panda
Why was I so impatient when I was 10 years old and younger? I mean, after I turned 11 it was like nothing could rock my boat very much. Before that every little thing set me off like a bomb. As a result I never finished Majora's Mask, and now I want to play and beat it soooo badly. Argh.

Get an emulator and the ROM, pretty much any computer bought/built within the last 3-5 years is capable of handling N64/PSX emulators and lower.
Still probably going to be a while before PS2 is caught up and runs as stable as older emulators.
Also, @Liandaru, I hate people who do that. I have an ex-girlfriend who would never shut up about all her illnesses and cronic pains. She garnered sympathy from just about everybody, except for me. Well, unless she broke down in tears, but that's another story(damn women and your crying. It hurts to watch). Give her a piece of your mind! That's my vote.
Also this:
I can't get it out of my head, and it's been on repeat for over a week D:!

Yeah, I'll probably wind up doing that. Though I'm wondering if some of my local friends have copies I can just borrow and console it up! I love consoles, though emulators are super handy for when consoles aren't available.

I remember being young and at the time the only way we could check for help on NES games (couldnt call the hint line at his house) was posting on a BBS on Prodigy (which my friend had). They didnt have unlimited plans so we couldnt be on long.
or...
playing star tropics for the NES which i rented from a video store, and the only way to get past this certain part was to take the last page of the instruction book and put it in water, and it would reveal a three digit code to get the submarine in the game to work. The place i rented the game from didnt give the instructions.
then i had to use the hint line. The code was 747. I will never forget that.
i love the internets. and hate those who give me viruses or malware on it.

and, now, the ffxiah forums!
way to contradict yourself inside of a paragraph
I don't sit there and pour out my problems on an hourly basis. I was using that for emphasis. She will seriously sit there on the phone with a customer or a vendor and tell them in detail about what's wrong with her, what it will eventually do to her and everything. @_@ Yeah you guys know about it, but I don't sit here and whine and moan about it.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
