I laminated mine. Of course, I had the sense to sign it so it'd be valid, before I laminated it. Did that back in high school during graphic arts class one day. Our GA teacher was a bro about doing that. Only time laminated SSN cards are invalid is if you don't sign them before lamination. If it's signed, and then laminated, you're good to go. Of course, this may not hold with more CURRENT SSN cards which may have barcodes on them, so be careful of that.
Not signed but no bar code.
