speed wise the game was made for people with 56k modems to be able to play. the only issue with using a mobile connection like that is your hotspot isn't the router, the tower is, and that combined with the QoS most mobile network use will cause latency issues. your ping will jump randomly, and during heavier traffic periods you'll experience packet drops.
iirc the original one said 32k requirements... that said we are far from the original game and there is a lot more data transfer than before and they are always trying to see how much more they can squeeze without making things like zoning take forever. Like there is a highly noticeable difference even on highspeed internet between a random mule and main character

You can thank the addition of inventory for that.

Also if you're using a magnetic disk instead of ssd make sure it's defragged.
