FF8 draw system is its legacy, and its unfortunate. It had good dungeon design, pretty good cast, good story, the silly draw system just didn't work.

my problem with 8 is the enemy level sync.

It was kind of a running joke that every classic FF had gotten the remastered/updated port treatment, except 8. I guess SE finally listened.

They have done a good job with a few of the remasters, I got X/X-2 and XII, played through them all, the last two in Japanese (way better). And DQ11 looks like its going to be perfect for Switch.

Not me, I can replay any old game if I liked the combat system. That's my only requirement. I have played through Star Ocean 3 countless times because the combat is just addictive.
