I still have my alpha and beta helmets from the first game.
I'm excited! I loved Nioh. It was so fun, and tough, and unique. I loved all the Japanese history, characters and environments, although the graphics were kind of poor for the generation. And the few, repeating enemies was kind of a letdown as well. Hopefully they have way more enemy variety and increase the graphics, and it will be great I'm sure. I also made to floor 109 in the abyss before stopping since beating floor 108 is the last floor to give a smithing text. I was also a bit behind on games at the time, so I stopped to move on the other things. Looking forward to the demo/beta since I didn't get picked earlier in the year when they were sending out random emails for testers.

Kusarigama apparently goes well with Ninjutsu/Onmyo because of debuff stacking, stamina depletion and all that.
I went simple; used Spear/Odachi and 2Kat, and only used buff Ninjutsu like the Quick Change scroll. Seems I need to change up how I play to beat The Abyss though.
Yeah, I mainly used Kusa with Ninjutsu. I wish Tonfa's were even viable but they are so weak compared to everything else available.
Did you ever try the gun tonfas? I hear they're much better than every other version because the blasts pad the damage out a bit more.
