:O Well, if you give me race, gender and face/hair type (sorry, am new around these parts and I don't know everyone that well yet ^^;), I'd be happy to take a whack at it!
I'm kinda like this in the sense I don't "need" a girl. i mean sure a gf could be cool but I'm pretty content with how things are.
I just wish more people thought like this and the perceived gender roles die down a *** lot, I dont enjoy being the one to have to initiate 95% of my relationships and knowing that some girls are just "waiting" for the man to take the first step
{Oh, Nini. I didn't expect advice like that from you. @_@; I'd have to disagree with most of it. Putting yourself out there might help, but honestly being in a setting you're comfortable in will help more.
It's good practice. Do you have any idea how hard it is to actually make a long distance relationship work? And if the person you're with (or you) is even the least bit mentally unstable, the whole thing falls apart very quickly. :X

I think one major problem with girls is they wait for a guy(or girl!) to come to them. Sometimes all it takes it a PM and maybe a few innuendos to get the ball rolling. :3 Even if you might not be interested at first, something could flourish! Long story short, a simple hello can go a long way.
Girls don't need guys though. If they want to wait, they can go ahead and wait if they're perfectly comfortable being themselves. If they want someone, yes they should go looking. It's good to get out and meet people anyway (this is coming from a crotchety hermit but whatevs). I do agree with saying hello. Making new friends is usually a good thing. Sometimes it lands you with a creepy stalker (my friend made friends with a girl on deviantart, and she went to her house and sat outside her window to listen to her talk).
Yes, yes I do know how much effort it takes to make a LDR work. Both parties must be dedicated and mentally stable enough to handle it. I've been there.
You're right, girls don't need guys. What I meant was, sometimes guys are the same way. There's just nothing wrong with taking the first steps. The whole stalker situation can happen no matter what. Sucks for you friend though, lol.
Depression isn't fun. Comedy on tv and some games keep me going. I show it FFXI sometimes and it's pretty traggic. Not to mention my roomate in the room with his GF just makes things worse.
Edit: Did I kill a post chain? I tend to do that. :(

Been single for over 3 years, and I'm not the least bit depressed or dissatisfied about it.
Perhaps I'm jaded from past failures, but frankly I can go through life just fine with the cards I've been dealt.
I'm not going to go out of my way trying to alter or change it for the sake of self-fulfillment under the guise of needing companionship.
I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice to have a gf, but I'm neutral on the whole thing.

If I like you, you *** know it. I don't hide it, I don't play games, I tell you straight up that I want you. Goes over pretty well. I agree though, more females need balls.

I can honestly say the situations where the effort/reward ratio in a LDR is usually heavily sided towards effort, and there's little to no reward. I'm not saying this is always true (obviously I'm in one where this is not the case), but it is the most likely scenario. Plus just because Nightfyre is amazing doesn't necessarily we'll do well living together. Because of the circumstances, that's not going to happen for a while, so it's possible for me to be wasting all this time and effort on someone I couldn't even live with(this is an example I'm pretty sure we'd do fine D:<).
From the way you said it, it seemed you don't even have any friend. Just not having a stable relationship is obviously a different thing.
That's how my life is pretty much haha. I mean I talk to people online here and there but irl no friends really(forever alone) and I'm ok with it. My schedule between work and school keeps me pretty tired and busy so even if I had friend I would rarely be able to hang out.

Aye, Nini. That's all true. However, that can happen even if you knew them in person first and lived 5 minutes away from them. Nothing lasts forever, but it doesn't hurt to go out on a limb and try something out.

maybe its the difference from growing up in a medium-big sized city on the eastcoast to moving to a small college town in the west-midwest but people are so different here and its pretty aggravating
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
