Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

I... hesitate to say this, but the fact that FFVI Pixel Remaster is taking so long to come out... gives me hope that they are fixing the bugs. I would love a clean version. No patches needed. No bug fix editions. I dunno, man. It seems like rockets-in-the-sky ambition, but... I think they can do it.



Final Fantasy 1-5 Pixel Remaster were hella fun when I played them. Proper versions of the originals made for my high DPI screen. Of course... not having all of the added "end game dungeons" and ***made people mad, but it's SE. They will have expansion versions. This was just getting all of their cattle herded together in a uniform... form. I expect Pixel Remaster "Advance Editions" will be out late 2022 or 2023.

(always weirds me out when we're in the year 2022. Yes, ***. I want the flying cars!).

At only 65, too. No foul play or drug use suspected, so who knows what happened. I didn't follow his late career, but I listened to his response to the passing of Norm MacDonald and it seems kind of surreal that Bob would follow suit so quickly thereafter. RIP.

i was talking to some "music" friends (hipsters) and we were talking about some of our favorite albums. i mentioned my buddy guy/junior wells live album and said, "you know who doesn't get enough credit as a blues or rhythm and blues artist? bonnie raitt.", and these guys were like "wtf she's a country artist.". i laughed. i could imagine chanti shaking their fist at the comment.

they disable the dvd playback function in my car once it's brought to the US, but in europe it can do playback while driving. had to get a program to hack it to allow it. now i can watch lotr extended edition on long trips!

Oh yeah I heard about the fusion thing. They maintained the reaction for 17 minutes, which is absolutely insane to think about. Earlier in the year another experimental reactor broke the milestone of generating more energy than it took to ignite, and even that was only about 6 minutes.

Worst pizzz girl.

I'm horrible at mixing controls when they're fairly close between two different things. After spending all weekend playing with Blender, I straight-up cannot use the 3D view in my structural software for work.

I remember trying to play Red Dead Redemption on PS3 after years of playing FFXI with default controls (inverted camera in third person, regular camera in first person). I literally couldn't pass the tutorial because trying to switch between third person running around and first person to shoot completely broke my brain. And of course they wouldn't give me the option to change the camera individually, only for both. So I either couldn't track my target in third person but I'd have perfect aim, or I could track my target but couldn't shoot.

Same thing happens when I play two different top-down strategy games back-to-back, or really anything.

I wonder if it changes the price per region, because people here use to sell switch games for around $100, while the full price in the official store is $40….

Anyway, I like both grandia games, i played the first on PS1 and the second on Steam so i dont exactly feel like buying it though.
