Someone tried to MPK me yesterday.

I noticed I only needed 6 Job Points for my last Capacity Points bonus on Blue Mage, so I went to Dho Gates for a brief cleaving session. I found a room full of monsters and checked to make sure there was no one else there, summoned my Trusts, buffed myself up, and started my usual rotation.

In the middle of a bunch of these Apex mobs, I saw this Tarutaru show up. Feeling kinda bad that I was hoarding mobs, I said "I just need 6 points and you can have this spot". But that wasn't good enough. He cast Diaga on the mobs I was cleaving. Ticking down, I couldn't rely on Entomb's petrification nor Dream Flower's sleep anymore. I was thankfully able to weave between defensive, offensive, and sustaining spells. The mobs were made worthless, but at least I survived.

I feel like it's all the time, but I'll pay attention and try to figure out some patterns.

Whose bright idea on the dev team was it to remove certain bonuses from JSE when upgrading? Paladin relic breeches have 10% SIRD on their level 74(NQ) and 75(+1) variants, and then lose it on their Lv.90(+2) upgrade, where you don't see that bonus again until you finish upgrading them to Lv.119(+3).

I noticed Black Mage has it even worse. Their artifact sabots have a whopping 20% SIRD on their 52(NQ) and 74(+1) variants, which is lost upon reforging and never seen again.

I'm sure there's a lot more. It's not something I've delved deep into. Like, I also noticed Thief's AF loses all of its Steal+ bonuses sans poulaines, among other things. Just a strange design decision to remove bonuses that people might have found use for.

For thf, sll the steal+ gets dumped onto the poulaines.

While true, for the occasions in which Steal is important (eg: Impish Box), having those few extra points in the JA would be nice. And I know the use is niche, so it wasn't intended to be a good example, just an example. The other stuff like SIRD is a pretty big loss.

NQ+1: 0/0/1/1/2 = 4 (they removed Steal+ from hat and it goes down)
109: 0/0/2/2/3 = 7
119: 0/0/2/2/3 = 7
119+2: 0/0/0/0/10 = 10
119+3: 0/0/0/0/15 = 15

They bundled all the steal from hand/legs/feet into feet, which opens up Thief's Kote (which is BIS) and non-ilvl Relic Pants (which is BIS, and an example of a vanishing ilvl stat)
