ugh, I just love how schools are shoving that standardized test *** down the students throats, so in the end they learn nothing but how to take a test.
gotta love how they are giving preferential treatment to the good grades but basically tell the bad ones to shove it.
wrong, wrong WRONG.
When did schools care more about test scores then teaching?
I need to pick up some beer for tonight. Actually, I should probably pick up beer for the weekend since the Rangers are going against the Tigers this weekend.

IDK. I like the idea of incentives for consistent excellent performance.
I just remember in middle school kids who performed well on our state's standardized test went to Six Flags for a day, but they opened the opportunity up for students who were from lower income families too. That annoyed me, and still does.
If you don't perform you shouldn't reap the benefits.

Now the question is: what type of beer?
Not sure yet. I guess I'll see what's on sale this week. I was thinking...

So people from lower income families can't perform well on those shitty standardized tests? <.<

They can and some did meet the requirements, but some that went with us did not do well. Why should they have been rewarded?
Wow, that's a horrible idea. That kinda crap is promoting segregation, which goes beyond the scores of tests and incentive and points towards an almost unconstitutional infringement on human rights. Maybe not as strict as the segregation before the 1960s, it promotes the same idea. Your card is white, so you're not allowed to do this. What kind of message does that send? Instead of removing privileges, why not just use the test scores as they're intended; scholarly merit?
grandfather got like 6 cases from the bowling alley he goes to cause they had to toss out a ton of it cause of a fire they had there (guess they had to even though it was all perfectly fine)

I think the color coding on the cards themselves is pretty deplorable.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
