As agonizing as farming items via NM and whatnot, they have their own experience or story to go with it rather than just "You purchased such and such for 32958302958230958203958023958 gil."

Getting my carby mitts was fun. I brought along anyone on my /flist that had a pop. Including someone who got us killed more than once. It was good times though.
Same! one of my best memories of XI lol.. I died about 4 times and got everyone who helped me killed.. so much fun though. Kinda sad now though :/ he's easily solo'd these days.

Edit: I uploaded it so you can see which part messes up.. (unless it looks fine to ya'll and its just me xD) i remember getting up early one morning when i was in my mid-upper 20s on whm, i was in kazham and it was right before the servers went down before an update, and i just sat there taking in the scenery while talking to my LS.

So I walked from sandoria to bastok and felt like such a badass, when in fact someone fighting the sand bats in dunes is the only reason I made it that far lol and then on the way back I saw lizards in konchstat and got cocky trying to kill a "tough" mob, not knowing they linked since I never fought lizards before. so I homepointed feeling like I walked across the entire planet or some ***lol lol I remember trying to take on Steelfleece Baldarich on at like level 30 because I thought I was invincible with Cure III. >.>; i finally finished getting all of pokemon the first season on dvd P: so cheaply too lol also got you can (not) advance and you are (not) alone. :O /excited

But.. I got rainboots today.. that were my size.. but my calves are too big! :| But they were 8 dollars instead of 32 so.. I had to take it :x I don't think I've ever owned a pair of rain boots. :o Maybe when I was really young, hrrm.
