TBH, I actually preferred Vanishing.. I mean this one has the artsy ***, but it's still a 'Hollywood monster movie'.. it's ridiculously short (80 minutes, I mean come the *** on.. I'm getting so tired of this 80 minute ***..) which leaves no real time for character or story development.. You get a short backstory and then you're just thrust into the thick of things.. How the hell am I really supposed to care if a certain character lives or dies, if I don't even really know who they are before they do so? More importantly, how am I supposed to get into a movie if I don't understand what's going on.. Blobs of lightning are taking people and the people can't see them coming..
It's just lazy.. I can send you the link if you want what I'm watching, it's CAM but you're not really going to miss much..
the movie is decent, but a lot of movies are decent.. Vanishing on 7th Street should have gotten the Hollywood spot over this, honestly.
