how is everybody else? I never got into speaking in tongues when I was religious growing up, always creeped me out a bit and I only knew like 3 words. But the praise part of church with dancing/singing was more fun than the "worship" slow ballads part It should be joyous and not solemn. I never understood "learning" to speak tongues anyways. Kind of defeats the purpose. It was originally to spread the message to those in which you didn't share a tongue with. Now it seems like it's all for show.

well the speaking in tongues thing is supposed to be any language and its god's words speaking through you or something (i dont really care for it) I remember. did you ever try to speak in tongues, back in the day?

but i've gone a completely different route since then so my mother and her husband are a bit upset with me

But then again I've been doing this stuff since I was a kid. 0 Formal Training, and I was doing it for work so they were checking to see that I had listened to the lessons. I did learn quite a bit that I had just fumbled my way through over the years. Just doing it a couple of times is still a better teacher honestly.
