The only vegetable that fights back in preparation. Now beans... that's more about aftermath. Then again beans are more like legumes, but now I'm just dwelling in semantics.

Yea I knew that, like if you wear airtight goggles it wont make you cry ect

It's just annoying lol :\

if i remember correctly, most beans are a type of legume, but the average person already understands that a bean is a bean, is a bean. kinda like explaining a potato to a canadian. It's a ferenacious tuber, but it's still a potato.

On a side note, i just got home with 12 litres (approx. 3 gallons) of red rain energy drink. Guess who's not sleeping for a week.

I just cut them fast, I don't cry much anymore.. Maybe if I have to cut up an excessive amount.. But I plan my cuts well, I keep half an onion almost completely intact until the last few cuts, and after the last few I step away for a minute or two to let the air clear.

One of the best ways to cut an onion to prevent the tear gas effect, is to slice it directly in half, depending on how you're going to use the onion, make addition cuts about 3/4 way through to the end. Works pretty well when you need to cut a mass amount of onions for stews, soups, stocks, etc. or even for salads, sandwiches, and other culinary or remedial uses.

I'm pretty sure they exist. Philosophical pants are made out of moral fibre, which can be recycled into other things like jealousy beads, Happiness Shirts, and the like
