If you're not going for Annihilator though, I guess you could live without guns, but you would still need some kind of marksmanship to proc.
In the event that a proc would be needed, yes, there would be a spare gun to satiate the needs of an event. However, in general terms, I'd exclusively use archery. Would that still be practical despite being non-optimal?
I realize in terms of DPS, it doesn't quite measure up to guns, but I'm sort of to a point where I just want to do things my way, have fun, yet still be efficient and knowledgeable. Like role playing, but to a far lesser extent. Hopefully this whole proc thing is over and done with soon. It's kinda lame when jobs become nothing more than a one time trick.

Depends. Are you going to make Gandiva?
Oh of course. Any bow on the top of the food chain would be my primary objectives. I just don't want to be a class clown for favoring one weapon over another despite numbers leaning in favor of the opposite.

The reason people are all over last stand, is because people don't know how to gear jishnu's, and it's much easier to get the gear for last stand. A maxed out jishnu's vs a maxed out LS even with 99 anihilator, jishnu's will hit harder.
As crazy as it sounds, I've been getting sick of jumping between characters over and over. I'm looking into creating a once and for all main character. All three career job choices emphasizing heavily on being part of a group (RNG, WHM, BRD).
I don't know if there's even a situation where I would even use my RNG over my WAR hence why I have been procrastinating on doing my Annihilator trials.
I thought Jishnu's lost of a lot of its crit rate outside of Abyssea too. I won't claim to know because I've never been into the math side of FFXI even though I could easily do it. I'm just lazy.
That's exactly what I'm talking about. People overvalue crits on it, Aluh Jambiya and Crit Haidate are the only crit related pieces of gear I'd use. And I'd replace haidate with khepri.
What'd be more useful on a tanky person? 18k more Health, or about 2k more attack?
Whats a standard ammount of health and damage taken vs a standard ammount of attack... or is this a hypothetical FFXI situation?
No, he's talking about his ninja game again.
I'm not really sure we're qualified to give suggestions, considering we don't know the mechanics of the game.
Though, your question to him seems like a pretty standard thing you could apply to it. How much health would a standard tank have at that level? How much attack? Are you currently lacking in one or the other, and will adding to what you're lacking add enough to make a difference?
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
