Not really different.. Of course not everyone is ever going to fit in the cookie cutter mold in any certain group.. But generally speaking, the community over here isn't like that, either.

They're not nearly as oppressed as the thread makes it seem.. Although I'm sure over there is probably more laid back..

There's really no shortage of hateful people in this country, but they're equal opportunity haters.. In my experience, there are very few people who hate just one single group of people..

And there are plenty of laws to protect the rights of people. Beat the crap out of someone for no reason you won't generally be dealt with as harshly as someone who beats the crap out of someone while yelling slurs or hate speech. That tacks on a whole new layer.

And I enjoy them very much. Very very much.

I pre-ordered XIII-2 and I still haven't finished it =/ not cuz I didn't like it or anything, just the new interface or whatever you want to call it overwhelmed me somehow.. I didn't feel connected to the game at all, I felt like I was just stumbling around like a drunken moth to a flame..

I go through periods of using my PS3 though, and I'm just not in one of those, so I'll end up finishing it at some point.. As it is now, my PS3 has sat there, unused for months. I've never been a huge console fan ever since I discovered PC gaming. There's only one genre where I NEED a controller over keyboard/mouse and only 1 other where I prefer it.. I NEED a controller for racing games, and prefer it in action/adventure games (like Prince of Persia, Assassin's Creed, etc).
