When I was skilling up to unlock blue procs, what I did was use the weapon somewhere like Cape Terrigan until around skill 210, from there just join an Abyssea La Theine worm party for the rest of the way. I recently capped Great Axe on my WAR there.

Maybe not as fancy or fast as some of the tricks mentioned above, but easy, legit and worked out just fine.

How constant are the skill ups? And what range do they usually have?

It's really hard to say, since how constant are skillups without them? I liked the results I got with them, and it was definitely more than just a placebo effect kind of thing. I am sure it depends on skill level difference, the mob, all that... I am totally not qualified to say. Shutting up now...

Okay, on a normal abyssea mob, assuming you're at around skill level 310.

I mean, I was messing around with staff - actually, my skill started at 306, was fighting w/e the spiders in Abyssea Vunk are, and went from 306-316/317 before the food wore.

Edit: 30 minute food.

Oh! Really? That's rad - that's one thing I didn't notice was parrying... but then again, its a special pain.

Off the top of my head, the easy aggro-free ones are here:

If those are too crowded, there are some aggro-free (while you're beating on them) ones in the Keep as well, but they're behind the doors and it's somewhat difficult to actually reach them without aggroing something.

Hope that helps.

lasttime i was there after the news skills uupdate
fortalices took you to lvl82 cap

thereby we can figure out the fortalices itself is aprox a lvl 80 mob
The Fortalices are 75, which is why before the 'skillups on DCs' update came, they would only cap you to 75. At 70+, the lowest DC is 7 levels lower than you.

damn, Prothescar beat me to the punch.

Position yourself around 4.1 / 4.2 distance and you'll never get aggro.

Somewhat of a necro but I need answers. I can only have 2 atmas, only like 3 ZB killed and all I have is gaxe leveled. I have no problem skilling up the normal way, but I found this thread. Would Sea Daughter (30hp/tick daytime I have no problem only being able to work in only half the day) and Horned Beast (Acc+ superior) plus some sushi and acc gear work? I need to level all the proc weapons, the lowest I have is 7 and the highest is like 120 something. I'm a lvl 90war/dnc.

Go to the Dunes aggro a ton of ***, use retaliation and just sit there or afk while u go thru a ton of mobs and u dont have to lift a finger. Do the same in qufim then in the sactuary of zi tah then kuftal tunnel should get u to around skill 170 or so then u can head to abyssea to finish skill ups in Dom ops party so u can get cruor and merits. But i find it is the fastest when u can pull a ton of mobs and use retaliation

I think I just found the easiest thing ever. I had no more than 30 skill in anything other than gaxe and axe. I bought all the red proc weapons. I took each weapon outside jeuno, doesn't matter really, and skilled up to about 70 with each weapon. Didn't take very long being a 90 war. I then went to Cape Terigan and got everything up to 200 even. I could cap a little over that if I wanted to, but 200 is such a nice even number. All 7 proc weapons to skill 200 in just a few hours. 90war/dnc. Super easy. Nearly every other hit had a 0.5 skill up, and with aggressor and sushi, misses were more rare than hits.

I skilled Polearm from 120 to 280 in a span of 4-5 hours. I don't know how much of that is the food, really, but it seemed pretty significant. Although, it's pretty hard to tell how effective it is, especially because eye-balling is a pretty bad way to see a difference.

I would say thats pretty significant as seeing without food that would take me prolly 2x as long

Well maybe SE updated the Fortalice cause i'm killing them really quick, making them not worth it for skilling up. Or i'm at the wrong place

As a newly 70 warrior with no Atmas or even Lunar Abyssites, my Great Axe skill is 211. Since nobody invites melee under 75 to Abyssea parties, where should I go to get my skill up to cap? I tried Cape Terrigan and only got one or two 0.2 skillups off DC bunnies in the span of one Saltena (30M). Pretty much a brand new account so very little access to places/things right now.

Option A:Shout for people to obtain your atmas.

Option B:Burn your whm so you can get in any atmas shouts.

All weapons i cap here on war. While watching T.V. Also, parrying was cap too.
