Primal Groudon's Harsh Sunlight not only nullifies weather changing moves but all Water type attacks.
Primal Kyogre's Harsh Rainfall does the same but nullifies all fire type attacks. Seems like Groudon got the better ability since hes weak to water as where Kyogre resists fire already but I guess its for the whole team not just 1 pokemon.

I'm surprised that they are making him a Mega instead of a Primal.
It looks bloody epic cant wait to catch one.
Serebii states the reason for his mega and not a primal has to do with the story.
His ability makes all super effective moves done to flying types only do normal damage. Meaning he is now only 2x weak to Ice instead of 4x. Kinda meh seeing how Groudon becomes completely immune to his water weakness with his new weather ability. His new attack is said to be the strongest flying type Attack in the game. I wonder if he is keeping his Dragon typing though.
This sounds like a perfect opportunity to make him into a pure Flying-type. How do we know dragon ascent is flying type? It sounds more like a dragon type move.
Delta Scream activated:
Strong winds cause the moves Sunny Day, Rain Dance, Hail and Sandstorm to fail and cause the Abilities Drought, Drizzle, Sand Stream and Snow Warning to fail to activate. (It lasts forever) They also cause moves that are super-effective against Flying-type Pokémon to only deal normal damage to Flying types. It's the other perk to Delta Scream for Mega Rayquaza. Edit: Meant as long Mega Rayquaza is on the field, don't get confused. Serebii said it only lasts as long as Mega Rayquaza is on the field and it said the move is a flying type move.

I have this weird feeling that the next main games in the series is going to have a new typing called Space Pokemon and will be immune to Fairy Type attacks. No idea why, just got that from watching Rayquaza's Dragon Ascent attack animation.
Alien themed Pokemon could look amazing lol. Possibly make them immune to Ground as well. Deoxys is from space though lol.
So... After just becoming a Fairy Type Clefairy will become a Space type lol.
I don't know lol was just an idea. Pokemon isn't really known for their continuity haha Mega Beedrill, Mega Pidgeot and Mega Latios/Latias,

Mega Beedrill is Bug/Poison with Adaptability
Mega Pigeot is Normal/Flying with No Guard Mega Latias is in Alpha Saphire Mega Latios is in Omega Ruby Mega Latios/Latias have an ability to fly that takes you these secret islands that allow you to fight and capture Palkia/Dialga/Zekrom/Reshiram Latios/Latias can only be obtained with the Eon Ticket which will be an event code in Corocoro You can also encounter pokemon in the clouds over Hoenn A new item the Eon Flute will allow you to visit floating islands to find the other Non-Event Lengendaries I wonder how you encounter the Pokemon in the clouds over Hoenn.
Is it a separate event, or do you just use Fly? I believe its a new mechanic. Ruining Fly by not making it instant travel would be horrible.
Any type changes on either of those two new Megas?
Mega Steelix has Sand Force
Mega Glalie ability is yet to be determined but holy crap he looks awesome. And yay a real Ice Mega! Update! Mega Glalie gets Refrigerate and is a pure ice type
