Btw for those that have beaten the E4. You need to connect to the internet via the PSS screen to update all your friends Safaris to unlock your 3rd pokemon.

Please this^ Otherwise we can only catch 2 Pokemon in your Safari's instead of 3.

Safaris hold a higher chance of catching Pokemon with hidden abilities and a higher chance for Shiny versions of the Pokemon your Safari has.

so when i work on making my umbreon, does maxing out pokemon amie with the eevee play out the same as max friendship in terms of haircuts / massages etc from the old games?

no. if you max him out on Amie, you will get the fairy type eevee

ah ok, so how do i go about making an umbreon in y? what features are used to max out the friendship for making an umbreon?

i maxed out eevees in amie and leveled them at night and the day and i got espeon and umbreon myself. made sure they didnt have a fairy move and bam!

I know this is a few pages back but might as well expand on it.

You can get BPs from Battle Mansion and the Battle Institute.

Battle mansion is pretty much pick a type of battle then battle till you lose up once or win all 20 fights. The 20th fight is a boss.

Fights 1-10 are 1 BP 11-19 are 2 BP the boss is 20 for 48 total from the basic ones.

Once you beat the Boss for that battle type you unlock SUPER BATTLES of w/e type you did. Which seems to be the same just the pokemon now seem to be IV'd EV'd and TM'd for a wide assortment of moves and as far as I can tell they give double the BP. Haven't finished this one yet so might be more after this.


Battle Institute is to grade how good your group is by putting you in 5 fights. You get BP based on things like how many of your pokemon got knocked out, how many fights you lost, how many super effective moves you used and such. Legendary Dogs and Birds can and will be used against you.


Both of these have lists of banned pokemon. Including this gens Legendarys and Mewtwo so if it was banned in the previous Battle things its still probably banned here.

soothe bell, happiness pokeball, having him 1st in your team, pokemon haircuts, massages...
they can increase the happiness on it, and just evolve at night.

Items like Protein Carbos etc all contribute to happiness as well~

I feel you. I have 85.30 hours into the game and still no Shiny. Others got them as soon as they entered first patch of grass...

It is however an increase though. 1/250 pokemon it's speculated no real way to test it I suppose.

There isn't any way that it's 1/250. If it was I would have had one by now :P

Never knew about the juice shop, there's items that increase EVs by 4-32.

And these:
Rare Soda Increases level of Pokémon by between 1 and 4
Ultra Rare Juice Increases level of Pokémon by 5

Later Writs with EXP power I'm fighting Gym Leaders again with lvl 60-70 Pokemon. It's awesome.

I am currently Duke Rank at Grand Duke I can fight the Champion again with with a Black Writ she can have lvl 85 Pokemon~
