Why? Most young people are HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE. It's one of the major reasons I don't date guys my age.

Do your relationships last long? I've found, only through my own experience with those around me, that the bigger the age gap relative to the stage in your life usually plays a part in the length of the relationship. Being that the larger the age gap the shorter the relationship. There are always exceptions and maybe I'm just way off but curious none the less...

I've been with my bf for 3 years. I'm 23 and he's 36, I met him a week after my 20th birthday. It's the first relationship I've ever been in though to be honest.

I believe its mostly considered wrong because once your post 18 your considered to be fully developed (legally) and any below the age of 17 is considered to be a child still. when an adult interferes in the life of a child sexually we tend to believe it (for lack of a better word) corrupts them or hinders their natural growth. It seems to be mostly a part of western culture though.

Even when I'm 23 and my bf is 36? Also we're both men, and I was a virgin when we met. Plus I wasn't even old enough to legally drink alcohol when I met him.

I personally don't understand why anyone that age would want to be with someone that young. You can't really have a relationship like that in the states and honestly it got old in HS when i had to run around and hide to be with my gf. No offense to people of that age or anything its jsut the age difference creates such a big gap when the person on the other end is under 16. how much can they really offer eachother in terms of a healthy relationship?
