Or needed for x-hit. :x
Put 1 more store tp into your tp set. It's almost always possible. but really how many people ride the get exactly 100% tp line?

What would you suggest, Vulcan and Strigoi?

This would be optimal for me.

Meh why buy a second Pyrosoul when some jack *** has prices inflated as is.

I'd throw on Zahaks mail if I had a Stalwarts up or Chaos Roll.

Meh, like I said earlier here somewhere already, it's kinda hard to rely on those x-hit builds nowadays anyway, due to regain, DAT/TA, ele belts and for DRG the jumps. But one does try to do those sets anyway, for outside aby situations for one thing and I guess out of habit for another thing. :(
Also, like I edited in the other post, I don't think that using rajas instead of a str +6/7 ring is really gonna gimp you out that much. Especially not if you would have to pay millions for those other rings.

, it's the same like using ethereal instead of a different att earring or bushi instead of something else, only for a very small increase in dmg. I think it's okay to just use what you already have instead of getting ever single item that gives you 1-2 more stats.. It won't make do 20k more dmg. >_>
I wouldn't compare it to ethereal. It's still the best att earring for alot of jobs... granted I wouldn't pick it because of that but if I had picked it would still use it unless you are one of the jobs that can use the 10 att earring. At least on the ws where you'd want some att there. So basically most melee ws that are used now. Unless of course you really want to drop some cash for a 4 stat earring...

Well, I had like ethereal <> merman's in mind. =o but yea, even centaur[Tab-key] earring would be too much for me only for those 5 ATT. That, indeed, is a big trade off, I'm aware of that but as long as I still have to always take inventory space into account.. I can live with being gimped like that.

Obviously strigoi is better but vulcan is still good. Obviously pyrosoul is probably best but right now unless you got the right friends it's alot more expensive. Vulcan about 200k a bit more to make. Pyrosoul is like 900k. Assuming you find the base items on the ah (they sell fast and are often up for more than the going price) it's more like 300k and a bit of time since you need to HQ3 a gem.

More crit is always good for crit based ws (especially multihit). Thats exponentially more chances for your 3% to make a difference. Especially when youre stacking crit.
Some conceptual errors here. Crit rate isn't any better for a multi hit ws than a single hit. It is just alot more noticable when you do and don't. It still averages out in the end. And stacking crit has decreasing gains. Also higher pdifs devalue it too. So when you argue the whole capped pdif or close to capped as a reason not to use some str/att peice remember it also devalued your crit rate too

I didn't mean to argue so much as to say "you capped that 15% ddex crit rate already" or whatever the dex value caps at.
The multihit comment was stupid of me and thank you for pointing that out. I knew what i meant but sneaking forum at work makes for hurried posts.

Stacking dex for crit ws wasn't the greatest even when it did something unless you had an idea of what the mobs agi was. Since it could either do alot or could do next to nothing depending on the range you found yourself in

Ya, before aby you found yourself with really silly setups if you would try to get enough DEX together only for the sake of trying to max your crits. It wasn't worth it.

I've tried out VV/RR/GH and VV/RR/Apoc and I liked Apoc a little better. GH did more constant dmg, whereas Apoc helps you in terms of frequency and also with spike-dmg.
I think, even from the maths Apoc should be better overall.
Could even try out RR/GH/Apoc but the loss of STR would prolly hurt too bad.

VV/RR/Apoc (or AaO for Apoc even) is the ***. Especially when a Soul/Spirit Jump Triple Attacks its like 1500-2k damage since it auto crits :Q

Would kinda need to know setups and such. But I'd wager apoc beats GH unless you using multi hit weapon. From a pure damage stand point anyways. I'd so take apoc/AaO over RR though unless it's part of what is making your Xhit work. RR + both triple attack atmas ftw

So is AoO/RR/Apoc the best pure DD set up?

For single hit polearm... maybe. Would really have to do the math. Which could get annoying since what this might come down to is how often you overflow and such. It would certainly get to 100% the fastest and best melee dps. Hmmm actually might win on ws dmg too not sure. God that would be alot of math and I'm about to nap. I'd say parse it.
