Katana's For The Casual Player

A buddy and I started the path for Tobi +2 since Emp seemed a little out of reach based on our playtime. We are sitting at the crossroad and did a few WoE and TBH I hate it. Seems like either way you go, WoE or Emp, gonna be awhile.

So... thinking we might put the Katana on hold until the update and see what things look like.

We are thinking that the Sekka +2 Eva 20 x2 seems to be a nice setup if your not going for the Emp or Tobi +2. Already have 1 Sekka atm.

Agi Sekka and kamome + yonin + eva gear (if needed) + kurayami is more than enough eva+ and enemy acc down . Really don't need to do another Agi Sekka i'd do Str path.

yea... what upbeat and mabrook said. i use Hochomasamune and kamome. i like the fast cast personally and it was easier for me to get than fighting the gob. we 3 manned the T3 VNM for hocho. just get blue proc, it is pretty cake walk to get it tho, just proc/get lucky.

i used one agi sekka and kamome untill i got kannagi. pretty decent combo and really easy to get, also you get to keep the agi sekka for offhand in situations where you might need agi after you get kannagi in the future. (like solo etc)

Oh that Gob seems Very hard from what i am reading... Think someone in my LS tried to go after it and had issues

That Gob is alot like Vadleany. Extremely dangerous if you are not prepared for the BS it likes to sling. I've seen Crispy Candle drop a whole party. I've seen them not break Stoneskin. The damage everything this NM does seems totally random, just like Vadleany's Spiral Burst.

I'd have to go with the Agi Magian. 20 Evasion and 9 Agi are absolutely amazing - it allows you to go full DD on the rest of your build and still evade like crazy. Now that I'm Kannagi main, I do miss that extra bonus. Also, you will be able to readily upgrade that at 95 without too much trouble (hopefully)... if you go with the oir-whatever you'd have to find something better by then. Also, again, I get more of a feeling of accomplishment (grammar there is bad, but screw it I'm tired) from a Magian katana than a NM drop.

As has been said, you REALLY should be subbing Kamome. I hate myself for doing so, but there really isn't any comparison.

Oh, if you want to go the "never an emp" route - the DA katana is a good compromise to mainhand.
