I would've assume that is for stress testing number of entities able to move in a zone - pretty common for any development.
Don't really think it's there to augment numbers?

Of course it's to augment numbers, people have been obsessively checking numbers since it launched and still do. He knows how important this stat is to most people, so he padded it. It's most likely running mainly in towns to make them look more busy than they are, since that's the way most people judge how busy a server is outside of /sea all
Maybe 500-600 are automated characters now I would guess, probably way more at launch since looking crowded encouraged more to try it.

Exactly what they want you to think and to try to talk others out of thinking it, don't be such a sheep. How sad they conned so many people with everything, really scary too how easily ppl are manipulated these days. Thanks for the funny pics
