Spccdog, I think the fact your gear shows no common goal for any type of any build what-so-ever on MNK when you say your MNK is your "5 Year Main" is probably not such a good idea. You're kind of asking to be trolled.

Before update, 1 week before got: 3/5 on KSNM (Wyrm) /o\

Blue Mage is and always was the best job in this game, MNK is just for ease on blue proc of course.

We did KSNMs before the update for a few of my MNK friends.


we went 2/3 on Behemoth KSNM for tongue

we went 1/8 on Adamantoise KSNM for egg

also had Adamantoise TOD, first friend went 1/2 on him and than another killed it something like 3-4 days in a row (supposedly they said Aspid didn't pop when it was supposed to I really don't know or maybe he missed without a drop) anyway that person got his egg when he finally got the Aspid claim

Fafnir I think he had to pay some JPs to get in their PT cause they would win claim @ every TOD. The first time they got TOD they had claim but no drop. I dunno if it was Nidhogg or Faf who coughed up the beard



Thanks for the info for after update though 1 friend still need 2 items I think, he was under the impression it would be easier after the update the rest were scared of it.

It's pretty depressing to see SE cripple MNKs in need of BB by further lowering their chances at obtaining the items, especially since most of the other jobs, which can be bandwagoned just as easily through Abyssea, don't have such distinctive items.

4 more adamantoise KS99 tonight... 4 more pops and 1 egg.

Pop item seems to be 100% without chance of second like we assumed unless anyone else can prove otherwise sofar.

Starting on our 4 adamantoise pops now.

0/1 on aspid for tonight with TH8 lol... damn. Fafnir run up next.

2/5 on beards and m'fkin black belt using the new method only get! And my short version is this is about two times as hard without KSNM drop... its not worth doing with pops to be completely honest... youll run out of KS seals too fast. /end.

Doing nq faffy soon anyways some LS members still wanna try it.

LS goes to BCNM for First KS99, kill a few get 100% NQ nm's
LS then travels to the spawn location of the NQ/HQ?

Well sucks for large numbers

On average you will need to do 2-3 KSNM each to get a GOOD reliable chance at blackbelt item drop.

So were looking at about 9 max KSNM99 runs for the black belt items which is the equivalent to 891 seals needed for a SOMEWHAT good chance for a blackbelt.

Luckily you DO have the drops which is at least 9 pops 3 nq each... but sadly the hq drop rate is abysmal and i would only assume 1 HQ pop from a random of the 3.

This is pretty much my final observation in a whole about the entire thing first hand. I will still post the 3-4 faf results we do.

7 KS99 Turtle Runs > 7 Adamantoise pops > 3 Aspid pops > 1 egg.

Adamantoise + Aspid kills with TH7~TH9

It's good to see SE finally restrains from any idiot from getting one of the best items in the game.

And as a possibility... you'll get *** like this... there is always that chance.

0/3 on faf HQ drop. You have a miniscule chance of HQ pop from NQ, and again the drop on pop seems 100% for one, never once saw two.

got a last pop off mule we did one on and it dropped HQ lol. Ebody and beard off nidhogg.

So i'd say if you want a HQ pop off an NQ you need to do 4-5 pops perhaps with TH8+.
