I am fairly sure I know the answer to this BUT...

Are the Taurine Cesti a good enough weapon to use whilve I focus on my other MNK gear I will need? (Aka BB, +1 and +2, ect)

Very slightly, inside abyssea at least. Outside, the extra attack on the fire ones might pull ahead.

They'll last at least until next update, then magians will be better. So, if you're not working on a smite weapon, which you should be, but if you're not, then you may as well get started on a fire taipans because if you start from scratch when the 95 update hits, it'll be a grind you will regret.
