Thanks to all that threw their support to my in my quest to finsh my Apoc. Now that I have it and am trialing away (ugh), I'm curious as to what are the best sets to play with.

Two TP builds posted there. Scroll down to Taint's 2nd post. When you finish the 90 version, Cata will destroy guillo by a hefty margin. For reference, in einherjar I average 2.9k~ Cata's (always parse) and 2.3k~ guillo's.
As far as item sets go, you can view my profile page for all of the ones I currently use, they're not 100% perfect yet but they're solid. I've no idea how to post an item set in here so it's easy for ya.

Average Cata, OUTSIDE abyssea. Inside average closer to 4k, spikes up to 6k~. But we all know catastrophe has never been a super powerful weaponskill.

*Edit* That's nice. I realised that I had set the "sword strap" button on ffxi calc before I started to add up the rest of the stp. That's why I couldn't get 5-hit without really reaching. Is there any pieces work swapping out for souleater with apoc now?
I've been thinking sable cuisses with AM up, but other than that, all pieces seem to give stats worth too much to give up for a few extra hp. sable cuisses even worth it? Yes 2% extra SE damage is worth it on mobs that aren't resistent. Anyone else notice the 1000 "." of something for Apoc on the test server. Final Damage is 167 +40 acc. I bet you its 1000 currency of some sort.
I may be out on a whim here but if it's a 1000 currency then it would say the currency name as opposed to "." since the translation is already complete for currency and no further items need to be added. My gut feeling; it's a new item farmed in dynamis. Prepare thyselves for dynamis again...
I am ok with that though Guy, Just hope we can buy from bazaars too. TO bad we won't have it completed in one night again lol

[44 days between previous and next post]I was bored and trying to work windbuffet belt into aftermath. Then I got giddy and tried to put calmecac in. In the end I realised I was trying too hard and wasted 20 minutes swapping 12 str, 20 acc, and 12 attack for 2% DA, 4% TA, and 1% QA.
/yawn. *goes to get more coffee* While Im making a set for the future, I wish there was an alternative to Twilight mail, as I don't have one :/
From my understanding Grim+1 is something to look into? Lorax has item sets involving Grim that look pretty good.

IMO grim+1 is best cata body for higher defense targets and most mobs when LR is down.
But that's no excuse to skimp out on twilight.
