So Today I Realized I Was Eating A Bolgna Sandwhich In The Middle Of A Swine Flu.

This ^, it comes around every 5 years or so, the global media puts us into a frenzy about some new flu, virus, bee, bird etc...that is going to kill us all, it is all scare tatics to get you glued to your TV like the sheep-eople we are. Gather your masses of morons to believe what ever the media tells you. Be afraid, be very afraid. Reminds me of the South Park episode with the giant guinne pigs (I'm sure is spelled wrong)running around, are you startled yet?

In short:

If there's gonna be a pandemic, I hope it's that crap that turns you into zombies. Man it would be awesome to go out head-shotting zombies.

more precisely a very vague tactic that "developed" countries use to discourage consumers from importing/traveling too much... the SARS thing was directly aimed at Asia, more precisely China. this time, it's to discourage Americans from traveling to Mexico (i work in a travel insurance company, it's the new big thing, people are super worried). sure, it's a serious issue, people could die, in fact, people died... but people die from normal flu every year, they die from AIDS, cancer, 1000x more often than from SARS, people die from simply crossing the street and you don't see a newspaper headline saying "don't cross the street"... yet you get stupid warnings from your government saying "don't travel there!!! omg?! are you crazy?! you might catch some rare disease..." >.>

Not particularly, seeing as how the first I heard about it was being talked about in my school and--in all seriousness--I didn't think I was screwed, I was more making conversation during maintenance. At least I'm willing to learn.
