Katana Trials

go there and find a katana you like, and go make it, hell you can do the weaponskill damage +10% katana WHILE you do other stuff

theres quite a few katanas in there that arent terrible...

MAB katanas are sick for Ele wheel nuking. But dex katanas are pretty good for the +acc too. Personally Kannagi not too hard to do little by little. If you really like Jin tho go with the +10% ws katana.

I made the ws dmg+10% katana on my mule (cba to make kannagi or woe weapon for abyssea procs onry mule), and it serves me very well.
I don't really see any reason to complain about a shortage on katanas atm.. As if magian katanas don't have enough to choose from :P

Eyeballing... I don't always make assumptions on dmg halfassed, but when I do.. it's always bs.

I'm soloing kannagi... it's not hard. Only sobek will prove challenging with *** death. Lol even soloing nms for ki's you can do nin/war, then change to dnc sub to kill briarius. Do like 2 bri's a day that's 2-4 helms. If you only get 2 helms that's 25 days, if you get 4 that's 12.5 days. 3 helms well you get the point. If you really wanna speed it up buy the pops for the ki nms. That honestly is where I am spending most my time. I'm being lazy but in like 2 days I got 14 helms. (skyrim is *** killing my ffxi playtime.) Honestly I'm not even a great player, it's just breaking it down to manageable steps.

If you really wanna know how much something is doing over another have mr.Iknowmymathformulas aka nightfyre do a quick one for ya. I'm sure he'd enjoy it.

For Sobek, the other 2 nm's besides guku is easy. Just build up lights and cleave. You can solo cleave on ninja. Atma of the gales helps immensely the dmg on aoleon edge. then put on evasion atmas and go /dnc. Wear some mab gear as well and pull a few weak *** rabbits or something. If you don't catch guku, or have a friend who's war make a fell cleave party. Get some friends to hold your Ki's from that. And you can get that war gil by selling leech spots to people.

thought the true virtue of blade hi was its aftermath since its a nice boost to dps perhaps i was mistaken.

Need more ninjutsu tools too, the ones that we currently have don't hold enough utility. I want tools that have the ability to deal double/triple damage and tools that add status effects to the ninjutsu.

Too hard for me to make the NQ ones :\

It's a great weapon skill... I'm not so sure we can confidently say that the OP uses optimum Blade:Hi gear and/or atmas.

Pesonally, I use a sekka +3, evasion path on ninja, but I am not a ninja main. Yes, kannagi is easy to make, but not everyone wants tp spend the time doing it. I think all Vize is saying is it would be nice to have a few more options without having to spend days building it through Magian trials.

If you're serious about any job, you should make an emp for it.
If it's just a job you play once in awhile, I don't see anything wrong with just picking up a kamoe and oirandori or something?
Or just pick an easy magian path like evasion etc

I could also get the evasion Sekka +3s, but I've never been a fan of them. Besides that few I can't really think of any other katanas that are good for anything, maybe a Tsukumo augmented with Flash.
