Lose 2% Haste For +7 Dual Wield ? (Set In Side)

This is something I came up with last week while I was bored at work.



23% Haste

22% Dual Wield

Pinion is -5 Store TP, I didn't know if the +5 from Rajas made up for it or not.

drop rajas/hasty, add shinobi ring, win. hasty pinion blows cockadoodledoo.

Except Shinobi is latent on having yellow HP and is therefore trash... moving along!

I'm pretty sure he was serious. If you ain't got nothing constructive to say just don't say nothing.. It's clear he's trying to come up with a more unique gear set rather than what everyone else has + copying them.

That's very nice, but for any given situation+goal, there is exactly one optimal gear set.

Hasty Pinion is definitely not worth it. Tiercel is also not necessarily optimal; if you have and can use Rancor Collar or Portus Collar then those would be better options, or if you're able to use Shinobi instead of Rajas. Shinobi Ring gets you to 25% haste without either item. Even without Shinobi that set will be the best currently available full-damage (no acc concerns) low-buffs (no marches/Embrava) set if you revise the ammo/neck.

Could've sworn I mentioned this around here after I tested the Hakama's DW actually. I know I mentioned it on BG and I've had it in my item sets for a while.

Are these pants even good at all situational wise? Evasion? Ocelot beats them out even. A subtle blow hybrid build when solo? Meh if that's the case.. just pull out them ugly *** orange trousers. I really can't think of anything situational wise that would make them useful where another piece of gear beats them out in that purpose.

What? They're better pure eva legs than Ocelot and better for DPS too so the only time they're inferior is recasts if you're trying to mix in eva, but I midcast recast gear on Ichi so that's not an issue for me. NIN gets 27 SB from traits and another 5 from merits, you don't need Ambusher's for that... if you're talking about dAGI I'd honestly rather have the killspeed over the small decrease in TP fed.

DW caps at -50%??

really? 7% DW on +2 pants? that's insane.

Nope, total overall delay reduction caps at 80%

I still have no idea where this myth came from but it's long since time that it died.

ya, isnt it that total delay reduction with haste/dual wield all that cap at 80%? meaning you can have -80% dual wield and not need haste? or am i reading into things incorrect.

So the final consensus being, this set up doesn't really do it for overall DoT?

Only because of your neck/ammo choice.
