Have you tried using Audacity, #2? They don't have a native 64-bit version avail, but their FAQ reports that it should work on a 64-bit system, unless you actually wanted something to record in 64-bit as opposed to just working. D;
As an alternative that isn't
necessarily free (read: internetz), Reaper is a really impressive DAW that reports 64-bit functionality. I've used this with my brother and between sampling Audacity, Reaper, FL and some other commercial options, he liked Reaper the best. They have a trial to try out and if you aren't into any dubious internet methods, the personal license is onry $60. Very easy to find a license online, though. Good luck!
