1: we'll state the obvious; it either is raining or stopped during this drive.
2: are those wood planks supposed to be supporting the bike and/or stopping it from sliding or dinging stuff in the car? 3: are those wood planks a dismantled 80's tv stand? 4: One word. blindspot Those planks are for loading/unloading the bike.
