Job Adjustment: Ranger - Flashy Shot

Greetings!

We will be making adjustments to the planned Flashy Shot changes announced previously.

By increasing ranged attack, the effect of Flashy Shot was able to deal more damage to lower level enemies, but as a result of repeated testing we’ve decided to give it another look.

Since Stealth Shot reduces enmity and can be stacked with other damage related abilities, we would like this aspect to shine more and are planning to increase the effect values a bit for Flashy Shot.

Post-change effect

  • Flashy Shot

    • Recast time will be reduced from twenty minutes to ten.
    • Additional merit points will no longer affect recast time, but instead increase ranged attack by 5 percent per point.

wat, will +20/25% rattk on 1 ws every 10 mins really out do 10% snapshot on dot for 10 mins?

Starting from Lv2, it's ratk upgrade. So I think it'll be +20% ratk at the end.

At best you want to get rid of Recycle merit, but now you have Scout's beret +2 augment.
Tough call.

meh i'll probably keep recycle merits too, it just doesn't seem that amazing on a 10min timer.

I can't justify losing a potential +5 tp every shot, and definitely not 10% haste (snapshot), for an epeen shot every 10m. They need to give RNG a native snapshot/recycle and move one or the other to group 1. It's the only way anyone will ever use these abilities to their full potential.

Until then, they can modify these abilities all they want, but it's pointless as far I'm concerned.
